Rajamouli refuses to speak about his film with Mahesh Babu

Tollywood Director SS Rajamouli attended the pre-release event of Actor Satya Dev’s starrer, Krishnamma. Other directors of Tollywood, Koratala Shiva, Gopichand Malineni, and Anil Ravipudi also attended along with Rajamouli for this event. Anil Ravipudi while speaking talked about Devara and also the upcoming film of Rajamouli with Mahesh Babu. Ravipudi pleaded with Rajamouli to give an update about his upcoming film. But Rajamouli refused to speak about his film with Mahesh Babu.

Anil Ravipudi said that he along with fans and audiences have been waiting eagerly for the film. He also asked Rajamouli to conduct the announcement event and talk about the story of the film. Rajamouli when got the opportunity to talk was not happy and revealed nothing about the film. He instead requested people to thrash Anil Ravipudi. This has shocked everyone as he could have given a little bit of info about his upcoming film. But him being displeased with Anil Ravipudi truly shocked everyone.

Rajamouli always conducts a press meet revealing his storyline but this hasn’t happened yet for his film with Mahesh Babu. But the pre-production work for the film has been taking place with Mahesh Babu preparing himself for the film as well. Fans and Audiences doubt something is wrong. It’s better if Rajamouli announces the film officially soon.

Ajith’s stardom falls short of Vijay again

Tamil Actors Vijay and Ajith have been box-office rivals for many years. Both had the upper hand over the other at one point in time. Both had almost an equal range at the box office also. But in the recent years, Vijay surpassed Ajith by miles. His overseas market too grew by a large margin. Without the domestic TN market, Ajith stands nowhere near Vijay right now. Now, Ajith’s stardom fell short of Vijay once again in terms of re-releases.

Vijay’s Ghilli, a remake of Telugu Blockbuster Okkadu had a re-release recently. The film became a sensation by collecting more than 25 crores gross and still running strong in the theatres. Ajith’s Dheena and Mankatha too re-released in the theatres. The openings and books are nowhere near Ghilli.

Ajith in recent years showed no interest in setting up exciting projects. He agreed to films only he liked in certain aspects. This also caused the audience to lose interest in Ajith’s films. Vijay established himself as a player in the political arena which too made him gain an upper hand over Ajith. However, Ajith in the domestic market is still strong and scored big hits in this region but has to promote himself in the other markets as Vijay did.

Aavesham set to join 150Cr club

Fahadh Faasil’s Aaavesham is continuing the Malayalam cinema’s golden streak this year. Malayalam industry has delivered one blockbuster after another for the past few months and Aavesham has now joined the list of these films.

Directed by Jithu Madhavan, Aavesham posted houseful shows on even on its 21st day and took full advantage of the May day holiday. The action comedy film till now has collected more than 135 Cr gross worldwide with 66 Cr coming from Kerala.

Produced by Nazriya Nazim and Anwar Rasheed under the banner of Fahadh Faasil and Friends and Anwar Rasheed Entertainments, Aavesham is all set to join 150 Cr club pretty soon. Looking at its amazing box office run, there are high chances that this film might surpass Prithviraj’s recent blockbuster Aadu Jeevitham in full run and emerge as an all-time top 3 Malayalam grosser.

Aavesham follows the journey of three teenagers pursuing engineering in Bangalore who, find themselves embroiled in a clash with seniors. To seek help, approach a local gangster Ranga (Fahadh), setting the stage for a riveting tale of vengeance and redemption.

Krish and Pawan Kalyan: Serious Issues

The delays over Hari Hara Veera Mallu and the suspense over its progress have been the talk of Tollywood for the last couple of years. Directed by Krish, this much-awaited period action adventure starring Pawan Kalyan has been in the making for quite some time and there have been no updates on the project for a long time now.

Hari Hara Veera Mallu’s shoot started very long ago and the team has not completed the film yet. Reports emerged some time back that Pawan Kalyan did not like the output and was extremely unhappy and miffed with Krish as he was unable to complete the film within the allocated dates. Pawan Kalyan had set aside the most number of days to Hari Hara Veera Mallu out of all his recent films. 

The planned budget has been crossed and still, portions of the shoot are in pending. Recently reports emerged that Krish has exited from Hari Hara Veera Mallu movie and AM Rathnam’s son is likely to direct other portions. But the team denied rumours for a few days.

But the recent promotional content has again created some rumours. The makers are mentioning Krish’s name in the social media posts but there is no mention of Krish on the posters. A poster without the director’s name means some serious issues have certainly come up.

Siddharth Roy to stream on OTT this weekend

Deepak Saroj’s Siddharth Roy is all set to make its OTT premiere this weekend. The film failed to make an impression at the box office and now it needs to be seen how it performs on OTT.

The film’s teaser and promotional content created some buzz, but everyone thought it was another Arjun Reddy kind of film as some scenes had quite a few similarities with the Vijay Deverakonda starrer. Unlike Arjun Reddy, this movie opened to poor reviews and word of mouth, resulting in a big failure at the Box office.

Since the film offers adult content, there is a possibility that it might work well on the OTT platform. The movie is arriving on Aha Video on Friday, 3rd May. Directed by V Yeshaswi, the film also stars Tanvi Negi, Anand, Kalyani Natarajan, and Matthew Varghese in key roles. Jaya Adapaka, Pradeep Pudi, and Sudhakar Boina produced the movie under the banners of Shree Radha Damodar Studios and Vihaan & Vihin Creations.

Along with this, he even talked about how he prepared himself for his previous blockbuster, 3 Idiots. He said that he took inspiration from A.R. All eyes on Allari Naresh’s Aa Okkati Adakku

Aa Okkati Adakku starring Allari Naresh is set for release this May 3rd. The film uses the title of the yesteryear blockbuster, Aa Okkati Adakku directed by Naresh’s father E.V.V. Satyanarayana. However, it is not a remake. So the expectations are generally high and all eyes are on Aa Okkati Adakku for a reason.

Summer Season has been a money spinner for the theatres but this time due to the elections many biggies opted out of the race. All the films released in April i.e., Family Star, Geethanjali Malli Vachhindhi, and Rathnam failed miserably at the box office. With these results, theatre owners are facing big troubles and audiences too missed having a good film in the theatres. The dubbed Malayalam film, Manjummel Boys worked to an extent but it was not enough. Now, all eyes are on Allari Naresh’s Aa Okkati Adakku which is slated for release this Friday.

The film is a comedy entertainer which may work very well for the family audience. Censor formalities too have been completed with a U/A certificate and a runtime of 134 minutes. The promotional content too created a decent buzz for the film. Will Naresh deliver a hit is the question.

Another Tamil Film Re-Releasing In Telugu!

After the success of Surya S/O Krishnan (a Telugu-dubbed version of Vaaranam Aayiram), yet another Telugu-dubbed Tamil film is headed towards a grand re-release. This time, it’s the romantic drama film of Shankar‘s ‘Premikudu’.

A Telugu-dubbed version of Tamil blockbuster Kadhalan (1994), it starred Prabhudeva and Nagma in lead roles. The film was not just a commercial success but also gained a massive cult following over the years, particularly for its songs and Prabhudeva’s incredible dance moves.

The re-release of ‘Premikudu’ is slated to take place on May 1, 2024, across the Telugu states on over 300 screens. It must be seen how this film fares at the box office. The film’s music was composed by A. R. Rahman.

Panchayat is a comedy drama TV series created by ‘The Viral Fever’ exclusively for the American streaming giant ‘Prime Video’. Set in a rural backdrop, it narrates the story of an engineering graduate who ends up working for a panchayat after failing to find a job of his calibre.

A total of sixteen episodes have been released (as two seasons) so far to widespread critical acclaim. Following the series’ success, a third season has been in development. According to some reliable sources, the third season of Panchayat will be available in the last week of May 2024.

Pooja Hegde Finally Grabs A Big Film!
