Andhra Pradesh General Elections and Assembly Elections concluded yesterday bringing an end to months of heated campaigning, controversies, and political statements against one another. Tollywood was also heavily invested in this election with Balakrishna and Pawan Kalyan contesting and challenging Jaganmohan Reddy’s incumbent YSRCP government.

All the Mega Heroes expressed their support and even campaigned for Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan. Allu Arjun, on the other hand, surprised many by publically appearing with Nandyal YSRCP MLA and expressing his support. At a time when his uncle is fighting against the ruling party, Bunny’s public appearance and support for the YSRCP candidate has hurt not just Janasainiks but Mega fans as well.

Amidst all this, Naga Babu has posted a cryptic Tweet which is being considered by many as an attack on Allu Arjun.

Naga Babu is known to speak his mind and never shies away from making sensational statements against his political opponents. This time, many feel the actor-producer and active Janasena member has taken a dig at his nephew for supporting an opposition candidate.

The elections in the Telugu states was a landmark event and saw one of the biggest voter turnouts in AP. AP voters turned out in huge numbers to elect for 175 assembly constituencies and 25 parliamentary elections. Telangana, on the other hand, voted for 17 Parliamentary seats. Several Tollywood celebrities and top stars turned up to exercise their right in Hyderabad with Prabhas being the one notable exception.

Mahesh Babu, NTR, Allu Arjun, Ram Charan, Chiranjeevi, SS Rajamouli, and several other actors and film industry people turned up to vote and Prabhas absence surprised many. This is not the first time Prabhas has stayed away from voting and this has attracted great negativity and criticism. Being a public figure with a massive following not exercising his voting right sends a wrong signal and didn’t go down well with many.

On work front, Prabhas has officially started shooting for Vishnu Manchu’s ‘Kannappa’. Vishnu announced the same by posting a new poster on his official X handle last week. The fantasy epic also stars Akshay Kumar, Shiva Rajkumar, Mohanlal and others in key roles.

Shocking: Kamal Hassan Beats ‘Thalapathy’ Vijay

Kamal Hassan is undoubtedly a stupendous performer. But that is not the case when it comes to his commercial value, or, in simple terms, his’market’. Unlike Rajinikanth, this veteran actor chose to star in creative experimental films over commercial potboilers, which affected his market negatively.

But all credit to Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Vikram (2022), ‘Ulaganayagan’ has finally scored a commercial blockbuster. In addition to Tamil, the film performed exceedingly well in Telugu, beating the likes of Rajinikanth‘s films. Now that he’s back on track, his next venture, ‘Thug Life’, is enjoying great offers.

Directed by Mani Rathnam, this action drama film marks Kamal’s collaboration with the director after the groundbreaking gangster drama film Nayakan (1987). According to the latest update, Thug Life‘s overseas theatrical rights have been sold for a mammoth INR 63 crore. Bagged by ‘AP International’ and ‘Home Screen Entertainment’, this is the biggest sum offered for any Tamil film, beating ‘Thalapathy’ Vijay’s Leo (2023).

Here’s The Latest Update Of Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan

‘Super Star’ Rajinikanth will be next seen in a retro-style action drama film titled ‘Vettaiyan’. Directed by T. J. Gnanavel of Jai Bhim (2021) fame, it features an ensemble cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Fassil, and Rana Daggubati. Bankrolled by Lyca Productions, it is headed towards a grand release in October 2024.

The film’s carrying good buzz among audiences primarily because Rajini’s previous theatrical venture, Jailer (2023), was a blockbuster at the box office. Having said that, here’s the latest update on Vettiayan. As officially announced by the makers, ‘Super Star’ Rajinikanth has wrapped up his shooting part of the film.

According to a reliable source, Vettaiyan narrates the story of a dedicated cop who fights the corporate exploitation of educational institutions. The film’s background score and songs are composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
