No midnight and special shows in Telugu States

0

The Telangana distributors have decided to bring a halt to midnight and special shows across the state. This is being considered a big blow to the fans who like to enjoy the early morning euphoria. Andhra Pradesh has already banned these shows sometime back with the government denying permission to these.

The exhibitors have also changed their share percentages to save the theatres. Some corrections have happened to the older commission system and the new percentages will be a direct benefit to exhibitors.

The exact reason behind this sudden decision is unknown. The theatres have been struggling of late with a number of films not being able to provide minimal returns to the theatre owners. It is believed that sticking to four shows a day system might bring in more crowds. With several big-ticket releases lined up in Tollywood next, it needs to be seen how fans and producers react to this latest development.

Thaman failed, will Anirudh succeed?

There is a huge fan base for Shankar’s movie songs. The picturisation, the production values, and the massive sets are huge attractions and are loved by fans. Over the last 3 decades, each of Shankar’s films have given multiple chartbusters in the same fashion. This is why there were heavy expectations when he picked Thaman for Game Changer and decided to go for Anirudh for Indian 2.

Unfortunately, the first single from Game Changer- Jaragandi did not fare well. Thaman disappointed fans with this song and all eyes are now set on the upcoming songs. Another Shankar project has also attracted quite a buzz is Indian 2. The first song ‘Souraa’ is set for release on 22nd May and it needs to be seen if Anirudh can deliver the success, especially after the teaser BGM came under criticism.

Anirudh has also sung this energetic number along with Shruthika Samudhrala. The song’s promo was released by Lyca Productions yesterday. The song is set to release at 5 PM today in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
