Ravi Teja and Sree Leela Team Up Once More

Dhamaka was the last big success of Ravi Teja’s career. Post this project, Mass Maharaja was seen in movies like Ravanasura, Tiger Nageswara Rao and Eagle. All these three films failed at the box office. And now, for this landmark 75th film Ravi Teja has decided to pair up with his Dhamaka co-star Sree Leela.

Dhamaka was a turning point for Sree Leela’s career and her screen presence and dance were well appreciated by the commercial entertainer. Even the ‘Dhamaka’ actress is in a dull phase of her career and is in need for a hit. For Ravi Teja 75, Mass Maharaja will be teaming up with debutant director Bhanu Bhogavarapu.

Sithara Entertainments, Srikara Studios, and Fortune Four Cinemas are bankrolling this landmark project. Bheems who was the music composer for Dhamaka will be composing tunes for this project as well and Karthik Gattamaneni will handle the cinematography.

Indian2 story synopsis details are out

Indian 2 starring Kamal Haasan, Kajal Agarwal and Siddharth is the biggest of the upcoming Kollywood releases. Due to the blockbuster success of Indian (1996), the expectations are quite high on this action entertainer. While it is a known fact that Indian 2, much like its prequel will be a vigilante drama, the exact plot details are now out.

Indian 2 follows the life of Senapathy, an ex-freedom fighter (Kamal Hassan) turned vigilante who fights against corruption. Senapathy returns to the country to aid a young man (Siddarth) who has been exposing corrupt politicians in the country through videos on the internet.

Interestingly, after Indian 2, a sequel will also come up pretty soon. Indian 3, third film of the franchise will release 6 months after this part’s release on 12th July. Directed by Shankar, Indian 2 will have its audio launch on June 1 at the Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai.

Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan are among few who are expected to attend this event. The film’s music has been composed by Anirudh and while it hasn’t managed to create the buzz so far, fans are hoping the upcoming numbers will create some hype for the film.

Kalki 2898 AD: Will Technology Overshadow Ithihasas?

It is a known fact that Kalki 2898 AD will have a combination of science fiction with Hindu Ithihasas. This is an interesting combination and something rarely seen on a big screen. As per Hindu itihasa, Kalki is the 10th avatar of Vishnu who comes at the end of Kaliyuga and defeats the evil the evil. Apart from Kalki, others like Aswathama, Parusrama, HanuMan, and other Chiranjeevis will be part of Kalki’s war over evil. 

By introducing Amitabh Bachchan as Ashwatthama, Nag Ashwin has given clarity that this is the story of Kalki’s fight over evil. Since the movie is set in 2898 AD, the team has the challenge of showing a futuristic world which from the looks of it is shaping up really well. This will require a lot of technical effort and innovation from Nag Ashwin and Co. We have already seen a glimpse of the same in the recent Bujji glimpse video.

The mythological theme and characters set in a futuristic dystopian world is an exciting concept. It needs to be seen which of the two elements will be of prominence in part 1. While the sci-fi angle will attract the audience, how the itihaasa is shown will determine the movie’s success as it holds the key to character establishment and the movie’s story.

Any film’s success lies in the development of the story and for that the team needs to get the mythology aspect right. Kalki 2898 AD team should also look to promote the mythological aspect of the movie and come up with other character introductions like that of Amitabh Bachchan.

Suriya-Sudha Kongara Film Shelved!

Suriya will be next seen in a dual role in the sci-fi epic action drama film ‘Kanguva’. Helmed by Siva, it features Disha Patani and Bobby Deol in key supporting roles. The actor has already wrapped up his shooting part and is supposed to join hands with Sudha Kongara for the second time.

An official announcement regarding the same was already out back in March 2024. However, it seems that this project has been scrapped permanently due to budget issues and creative differences between the actor and filmmaker.

The duo’s first collaboration, Soorarai Pottru (‘Aakashame Nee Haddura‘ in Telugu), emerged as a classic blockbuster on Prime Video, and the buzz around their reunion was high. Unfortunately, the film is not happening, and Suriya‘s next will be helmed by Karthik Subbaraj.

Shankar’s Bharateeyudu Re-Releasing In Telugu

As we all know, Indian-2, an upcoming vigilante thriller film, is a sequel to the 1996 classic Indian. With the former heading towards a release in July this year, the makers are leaving no stone unturned to promote their product aggressively. Following the release of a music single, it has been announced that the first installment is coming back to cinemas in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi.

Titled Bharateeyudu in Telugu-dubbed version, it was a massive hit back then, and considering the hype surrounding the sequel, this re-release is expected to work big time. Ace producer A. M. Rathnam bankrolled this mega project on a grand scale under his banner ‘Sri Surya Movies’.

Bharateeyudu-1 will hit the big screens on June 7, 2024. It stars ‘Ulaganayagan’ Kamal Hassan and Manisha Koirala in lead roles. The film’s music, a sensation during its release, was composed by Shankar’s usual companion, A. R. Rahman.

Devara starring NTR shooting is happening at a brisk pace. The film also stars Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan in pivotal roles. Devara’s first single, Fear Song composed by Maverick Music Director Anirudh Ravichander also released recently. The song increased the buzz and hype for the film. However, there is another thing that happened recently. An actor who worked in Devara leaked an action episode which increased the hype of the film further.

The actor who worked for an action scene defined the span of the film. He said that NTR acts as a protector for thousands of villages. “In one particular scene NTR goes on to kill many people along the shore leading it to become reddish all over with blood,” he added. He also said that the film would shatter all existing records and was very much excited about the film.

Well, this definitely increases the hype of the film among the fans and audiences. We’ll have to wait and see how Koratala Shiva lives up to the expectations. NTR will move for War 2 and Prashant Neel’s film after Devara. So the film needs to perform well. A sequel has already been announced and the shoot will start likewise after these films.

Makers React To Rumours About Salaar-2 Being Shelved

Salaar: Part 1: Ceasefire made a remarkable buzz at the box office. In spite of leaving nominal losses in some areas, Prashanth Neel has succeeded in reviving Prabhas’s disastrous career after three continuous bombs. As announced at the end, the film has a sequel titled Salaar: Part 2: Shouryanga Parvam.

There’s good buzz for this venture among fans as well. Despite this, rumours of this project being shelved have flooded the internet for one major reason. Neel, the filmmaker who was supposed to kickstart Salaar-2 filming this month, has joined hands with Jr. NTR for a standalone film.

And to make matters worse, an official announcement stating that this #NTR-Neel project will go on floors in August has been made. If this turns out to be true, there’s no way Salaar-2 is happening anytime soon. Having said that, multiple media channels have confirmed that the much-awaited sequel has been scrapped permanently.

But the saga’s official Twitter handle has reacted to these rumours in a playful manner. Attaching a picture of Prabhas and Neel laughing their hearts out, they wrote, ‘They can’t stop laughing’. This has turned out to be a breath of fresh air for ‘Rebel Star’ fans all over the country.

Varun Tej To Join Hands With Shekhar Kammula Again!

Satyabhama trailer: Kajal’s action-packed avatar impresses fans

Kajal Agarwal will be seen in an intense action packed role in her upcoming action film Satyabhama. The trailer of the film dropped a while ago and as expected Kajal has truly packed a punch. Directed by Sumna Chikkala, Satyabhama trailer features a bunch of thrilling elements and showcases Kajal like never before.

Kajal’s look as a police officer, the BGM and intense moments in the trailer have managed to create great excitement for the movie. The anticipation regarding the film has now gone quite high.

The nearly three-minute-long trailer begins with Kajal witnessing a murder. Though she tries hard to nab the killer, she fails and is ultimately pulled up by her seniors.
