May 28 marks the birth anniversary of Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, a legendary actor and politician. On this auspisious eve, ‘Mega Star’ Chiranjeevi leaves a heartfelt note for this celebrated actor that left people across fandoms in tears.

Calling him an inspiration for the future, he believed that the late actor deserves Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian honour, for his incredible services to the entertainment industry as well as for the united Andhra Pradesh as a politician.

He went on to say that he really hopes the Narendra Modi-led central government will consider this request on behalf of all Telugu people. This tweet soon went viral, receiving widespread praise from multiple media outlets as well as fans.

GOAT: Vijay’s triple feast

Tamil Actor Vijay’s upcoming film, The Greatest Of All Time, stylized as The GOAT shoot is happening at a fast pace. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, the film stars Meenakshi Chaudhary as the female lead. The first looks and single of the film have also been released. Vijay was spotted doing dual roles in the posters. But the surprising news is Vijay is essaying another role making it a triple feast for the fans and audiences.

This third character is said to be revealed only in the film as a surprise to the fans and audiences. Director Venkat Prabhu also plans such surprises in his films. So, he might be doing it again. GOAT also stars Prashant, Prabhu Deva, and Ajmal in pivotal roles. All three danced to the tune of Whistle Podu, the film’s lyrical song which released recently. The song composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja received negative reviews after its release as well.

Vijay will be doing one more film after GOAT before venturing into politics officially. He has already established his political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, TVK. He is making plans to wrap these two films as soon as possible to compete for the Tamil Nadu State Assembly elections scheduled in 2026.

Bangalore Rave Party: Notices to Hema

The Bangalore rave party investigation has taken a major turn. The police have decided to take strong action against those who tested positive. This includes actress Hema whose presence at the party and drugs consumption has been proven.

The police had earlier asked her to come for an investigation but she denied stating health reasons. The officials are not happy with her absence and sent notices to attend on 1st June without fail

The Central Crime Branch (CCB) of Bengaluru Police has sent notices to all the 86 people who tested positive for drug consumption at a rave party last week which was busted by authorities, to appear for questioning on Monday.

The rave party was held at GR Farm House near Electronic City, Bangalore and 59 out of 73 men had blood reported positive while 27 out of 30 women tested positive. Actress Hema (Krishnaveni) who has starred in over 200 Tollywood films has tested positive as well. The proof of her drug consumption was found in the blood reports.

The Bangalore rave party was a sunset to sunrise party and over 150 people attended the party held on the occasion of one Vasu. The police recovered MDMA, cocaine, hydroganza at the party.

Naga Chaitanya is in desperate need of a box-office hit. His last two films Custody and Thank You were major box -office failures and his Bollywood debut in Aamir Khan’s Lal Singh Chaddha was also a disappointment with the film becoming a disaster. Now the ‘Love Story’ actor has pinned all his hopes on Chandu Mondeti’s ‘Thandel’.

The film will feature Naga Chaitanya as a fisherman and he will be seen speaking Srikakulam dialect. In a recent interview, he shared some facts about Thandel and how the theatrical business has seen a transformation in recent times. Speaking about theatres, he said that “only larger-than-life movies are able to draw the crowd to the theatres in this age of OTTs.”

“Having said that, you simply can’t put up a visual extravaganza because that’s what the market requires,” he added. He also explained that every movie can’t be scaled to that level and it must be an organic process in which the content dictates the project’s scope, and most importantly, you must suit the character.

Speaking about Thandel, Naga Chaitanya narrated his journey through the process and said, “I spent nearly nine months preparing for Thandel. It’s such an inspirational story. I wanted to make sure I get everything right, especially the Srikakulam accent… This is the biggest film of my career, and I needed this role.”

Panchayat Season 3 streaming details

Panchayat season 3, one of India’s most awaited web series is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The first two seasons of this comedy drama were hugely successful and depicted the life of a young Panchayat secretary (Jeetendra Kumar) in a village. The show also stars veteran actors Ragubir Yadav and Neena Gupta.

Panchayat is one of the most critically acclaimed and unanimously loved web series of recent times. The show’s natural depiction of rural life, quirky characters, and a bouquet of emotions made the show a dear favourite of netizens.

The first season of the show was released in April 2020 during peak lockdown while season 2 was released in May 2022. The show also stars Sanvikaa, Chandan Roy, Durgesh Kumar, and Faisal Khan in key roles and follows the events of the season 2 climax where ‘Phulera’ villagers went against the local MLA.

Vikram’s Thangalaan postponed again

Chiyaan Vikram’s upcoming historical action Thangalan has made great buzz in the Kollywood markets. The film is one of the most ambitious Tamil projects and will see acclaimed director P.A. Ranjith collaborating with the versatile actor for the first time in his career.

The film will co-star Malavika Mohanan and every single poster and promotional material from the film has managed to evoke great curiosity from film lovers. Dil Raju’s downfall: What went wrong?

Tollywood Producer Dil Raju remained one of the top producers for many years. He worked with almost every top hero in this journey. He initially started as a Distributor and later transformed into a producer which is also well known. The producer suffered setbacks but recovered from them from time to time. But it looks like Dil Raju is witnessing a downfall.

All his recent films didn’t make a big impact. Only Balagam that his daughter produced made profits and became a decent hit. But Dil Raju suffered a big jolt in the form of Family Star starring Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur. The film gathered a lot of hype before its release but ended as an outright disaster. This was unexpected as the combo of both Vijay Deverakonda and Parasuram delivered a big blockbuster in the form of Geetha Govindam. Many thought Family Star would repeat the same success but the opposite happened. His nephew’s film, Love Me also released recently and didn’t quite make it. The film is also heading towards flop status.

Dil Raju’s other film, Game Changer starring Ram Charan is also taking a lot of time for its shoot part. The film directed by Shankar has stuck in a release haul disappointing both Dil Raju and Audiences. So Dil Raju must also concentrate on the film’s outcome and content. Dil Raju also stopped making small-budgeted films aggressively. He needs to make a comeback in these segments to sustain.

Kalki 2898 AD: Pan India Promotions with Bujji

Kalki 2898 AD buzz is picking up and the makers are looking to get the promotions started on a pan-India level. The hype about this film and curiosity among fans is growing day by day. Dull season at Box Office continues

The months of April and May are considered very good for box office everywhere since these months are part of the summer season. Audiences generally throng the theatres during this season minting money for the producers. But from the last few weeks, there are no notable releases. This made audience not watch the small budgeted films that released recently. So, the dull season at the box office continues.

There are two films slated for release this weekend. One of them, Raju Yadav starring Jabardasth fame, Srinu has washed out already. The film secured very poor word of mouth on the opening day itself. The other release, Love Me starring Ashish Reddy barely generated any buzz. Love Me was made with a good budget but the bookings are disastrous here and from US as well.

Now all eyes are on 31st May with three new releases lined up. Gangs of Godavari starring Vishwak Sen, Bhaje Vaayu Vegam starring Karthikeya and Gam Gam Ganesha starring Anand Deverakonda will release on the same day testing their lucks. These three films are very crucial for the respective heroes as they badly need a hit. It’s interesting to see who would emerge as the winner.
