Madharaasi Censor Report

Sivakarthikeyan and AR Murugadoss get together for the first time with Madharaasi, the next biggie from Kollywood. The film has completed censor formalities lately and is all set for a grand worldwide theatrical release soon.

According to the latest official reports, Madharaasi has been censored with U/A (16+), and the film’s runtime is 167 minutes and 33 seconds. Recently, the film’s trailer was released, and it received a good response.

It is also being said that the team will promote the film in Telugu this weekend. Sivakarthikeyan’s last theatrical release, Amaran, was a huge success in Telugu as well.

Anirudh Ravichander composed the film’s music, and Rukmini Vasanth plays the lead role. Vikranth, Vidyut Jammwal, Biju Menon, and Shabir (known as Dancing Rose) also have significant roles. 

The film garnered a lot of attention right away because of its large star cast and the excitement generated by the Murugadoss-Sivakarthikeyan combo. Madharaasi is releasing in theaters worldwide on September 5th in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada.

With Mohanlal’s stardom, Hridayapooravam opens bigger than Lokah on the first day, but today, which is the second day of both films, Lokah takes a clear lead, and it is trending over double of Mohanlal’s film.

The same trend is likely to continue in the coming days, which means Hridayapooravam might emerge as a decent success, whereas Lokah will be heading for a massive blockbuster run.

Dominic Arun directed the film, and Dulquer Salmaan produced it. It’s getting great reviews in Malayalam. Before, they planned to release it today in Telugu under the name Kotha Lokha.

The early morning shows popped up on ticket sites for a bit but got taken down fast because of the content hold-up. According to the latest news, the screenings of Kotha Lokah will start later in the evening.

As the film is made as a stylish gangster film, it will easily connect to Hindi audiences, and Sujeeth has already seen this with Saaho, which saw bigger numbers in Hindi markets, and Hindi audiences’ WOM was also better than Telugu for the film.

So, the OG team has to start aggressive promotions in Hindi as soon as possible. If the right amount of interest is created among audiences about the film, then the numbers will automatically fall into place.

OG: Probably, the last chance for Pawan Kalyan to score a Massive Industry Blockbuster

Certainly, Pawan Kalyan will not get a big chance like OG to deliver a pan-India blockbuster in the future, as he already announced his retirement from films as a hero after Ustaad Bhagat Singh.

UBS is a regional film that targets Telugu audiences, but OG has every chance to work for audiences across languages. Pawan Kalyan needs to deliver one massive industry blockbuster that his fans are eagerly anticipating.
