Success or failure is very common in the film industry. But in this age of pan-India movies, failures are impacting the massive business potential of the next films. Something similar happened with Shankar where the colossal failure of Indian 2 has created a major dent in Game Changer and has also impacted his brand. Even I and 2.0 were not up to the mark, but it was Shankar’s brand and trademark thrilling sequences that gave these films a respectable standing at the box office.

Indian 2, on the other hand, has done massive damage to Shankar and he has now taken a massive hit to his credibility and brand. Everyone feels Shankar has completely lost his touch. There are too many cringe scenes in Indian 2 and the movie is now facing massive trolls on social media after its release on Netflix.

This disaster is now directly going to impact Game Changer. If it was a normal budget film then just Ram Charan’s brand was enough but since Game Changer is another massive pan-India film Shankar’s form and brand would also matter. The buyers are not ready to take the film at bigger prices in all languages. The release delays and budget increases have affected in non-theatrical business too.

Dil Raju is currently in a very risky position. He needs to take the risk and if required, release the film on deficit also. Only massive theatrical returns can put him on the profitable side.

For that to happen, the film needs to get vintage Shankar range word of mouth. There was a time when a large section of the audience used to just watch the film in theaters for the Shankar brand. But with the Indian 2 debacle, it won’t happen for Game Changer and the movie is now entirely dependent on Ram Charan’s starpower and initial word of mouth from the audience.

Nagarjuna’s controversial divorce comment

Veteran actor Nagarjuna has revealed that his son, actor Naga Chaitanya, had a difficult time following his divorce with Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Naga Chaitanya and Samantha were married for four years until they split up in 2021. He is currently engaged to Sobhita Dhulipala.

Nagarjuna shared his delight at his son Chay’s engagement in an interview. “Chay has discovered happiness again. He is quite delighted.” So am I. It has not been an easy time for Chay or the family. He became really depressed after his split with Samantha. My son does not express his sentiments to anyone. But I knew he wasn’t happy. I am very happy to see him smiling again. Sobhita and Chay are a great couple. They care deeply for one another.”

Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu dated for four years before getting married in 2017. However, the pair confirmed their split in 2021. The audience and their supporters were continually criticizing both stars for their decisions. They published a message asking followers for privacy while they ‘moved on’.

Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala were engaged on August 8, 2024. In the same interview, Nagarjuna admitted that it was a ‘hurried engagement’ because the day was particularly fortunate. Their engagement surprised everyone, and Samantha’s admirers have expressed their discontent on social media. The wedding date has not yet been set.

Avatar (2009) was a sci-fi epic directed by legendary filmmaker James Cameron; considered a ground-breaking work in terms of VFX, it emerged as the highest-grossing film of all time. Following its monumental success, a saga of films has been in development.

The second installment in the series titled ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ took a release in 2022 to positive reviews and went on to gross over $ 2 billion worldwide. Though it underperformed compared to its predecessor, it still was a commercial success. And now a third installment is gearing up for a release.

Titled ‘Avatar: Fire & Ash’, it is scheduled for a worldwide release on 19th December, 2025. The Avatar series features Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, and Stephen Land in lead roles. Besides directing these epic films, Cameron also co-produced them along with Jon Landau.

‘Thalapathy’ Vijay’s next release will be a sci-fi action adventure titled ‘The Greatest Of All Time’, directed by ace filmmaker Venkat Prabhu. Meenakshi Choudhary is the female lead, while Yuvan Shanakr Raja has been roped in for composing tunes. It is slated for a grand release on 5 September 2024.

With the release date only a few weeks away, the makers have kicked off aggressive promotions across languages. As a part of it, a music single titled ‘Spark’ was unveiled lately; it not only received a poor response but attracted a huge number of trolls for Vijay’s dance moves and looks.

In damage control mode, the makers, AGS Entertainment, have launched a new poster that featured Vijay, Prabhudeva, Ajmal Ameer, and Jackie Shroff. No SSMB29 Update: Is Rajamouli fearing to announce story with a press meet?

Today marks the birthday of Tollywood Actor, Mahesh Babu. Fans and Audience are excited for his upcoming film with Director SS Rajamouli. The film was announced but not with a press meet yet. Usually, Rajamouli announces his films with a formal press meet where he shares the story and other details of the film. But this hasn’t happened now. This gives rise to a question whether Rajamouli is fearing to announce the story of SSMB29 with a press meet.

There’s no better date than today to officially launch SSMB29. The story of the film has already been locked and everything is set. But there is a strategic silence from Rajamouli and the team for reasons unknown. There is no single update about SSMB29 today yet which is very disappointing. Fans and Audience have been expecting something but in vain their appeals are not addressed by Rajamouli.

Could this be the reason?:
Till now, Rajamouli never made a solo-hero film since Maryada Ramanna which was a remake. His later film, Eega was completely based on Graphic content and never recognized Nani or Sudeep as the hero of the film. Moreover, it was viewed as an extension of Magadheera. Baahubali later too was projected as a Multi-starrer of Prabhas and Rana.

RRR too had NTR and Ram Charan. Rajamouli is now making a solo-hero film after many years. So, he might be fearing to give details about the film as this doesn’t unite other heroes’ fans. Any disappointment about the story from the press meet may project the film negatively. There is also a speculation that Rajamouli might be going straight ahead with the film’s shoot without a press meet. Anyways, this is very disappointing to see no update coming out from Rajamouli or the team about the film. Fans and Audience need to wait further.

NTR: Master of planning and execution

NTR starred in a Mulit-starrer film, RRR directed by SS Rajamouli. The film became a big blockbuster grossing more than 1000 crores worldwide. It released 3 years after his solo release, Aravinda Sametha. But RRR didn’t give NTR the solo credit as it was a multi-starrer and also attracted criticism for his character in the film getting neglected compared to the one of Ram Charan. NTR immediately planned Devara then and War 2 afterwards. Now with NTRNeel he is showing to everyone that he is the Master of planning and Execution.

Devara is almost finished and scheduled for release on 27th September. The film is already carring massive hype and buzz because of the songs released till now. He is also playing a crucial role in War 2 alongside Hrithik Roshan. This film is scheduled for release on 14th August next year. Along with these two films, surprisingly today he kick started his long awating project, NTRNeel. This will be directed by Prashant Neel of KGF and Salaar fame. The release date for NTRNeel has already been locked as 9th January 2026.

NTR line up is amazing and bigger as well. With War 2, he aims to establish himself as a Pan India star. Now, with NTR Neel he will go futher as Prashant Neel enjoys a strong fanbase for his films. And one more important thing will be the performance of Devara. If the film performs well, then NTR can easily have more advantage with these two films.
