In the last 2 weeks, Kingdom, Hari Hara Veera Mallu, and Mahavatar Narasimha have been released, and the latter is still making waves at the box office. On August 14th, Coolie and War 2, two big movies, are getting released in theaters.
So, finding good shows to fill the gap and bringing audiences for a re-released movie with big releases before and after is definitely an impossible task, as the old movie releases always work in dry periods with no big films.
That is why Athadu 4K will not have a record opening at the box office. Currently, the film carries 1.25 Cr in advance bookings, which is good for a re-release. However, these bookings are not enough to get record openings and become the highest grosser.
