Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu started with record numbers with its paid premieres, and despite negative WOM, the film saw a good opening with a 70 Cr gross worldwide start. However, Veera Mallu’s box office journey did not continue as expected.
From the Day 2 noon shows to the Day 3 evening shows, the film had a miserable drop in collections. Of course, from Day 3’s second shows to Day 4’s first shows, this periodic action movie saw very good growth and posted good occupancies.
But again, the second show on day 4 had a big drop in numbers, which sums up Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu’s box office performance at the first weekend.
Overall the film had a disappointing 1st weekend with close to 105 Cr gross collection. With the breakeven figure at 200 Cr, HHVM has been able to recover just 50% of the business.
Lately, the makers of Hari Hara Veera Mallu released a trimmed version in all theaters, which is getting some better WOM. Everyone feels that if the same version had been released at first, the film could have gotten at least average WOM.
Now, we need to see how this updated version will help HHVM at the box office, and today’s hold will decide the film’s fate at the box office.
