It is widely known that the upcoming film of King Nagarjuna, Naa Saami Ranga was scheduled to be released on Sankranthi. Though the official date was not revealed, makers promoted the film as a Sankranthi release. But recently, there have been postponement rumors about the film.
Reportedly, the Producer of the film and Nagarjuna are not on the same stand about the release of Naa Saami Ranga. Nagarjuna’s perspective is that they have planned for a Sankranthi release and worked so hard many days and nights to complete the film to arrive at Sankranthi. Nagarjuna demands a Sankranthi release for Naa Saami Ranga , but the producer wants to postpone the film.
Naa Saami Ranga release date argument between Nagarjuna and the Producer
The movie has been made on a reasonable budget of 25Cr, and the non-theatrical business will fetch the 2/3Rd amount of the budget. So, Theatrically, the film does not need to require big numbers. A total of 200 screens are enough to get 20Cr share which will give good profits for the film, so Nagarjuna is sure that they can go for Sankranthi release despite hectic competition.
Producer’s perspective is different from Nagarjuna’s on the release date of Naa Saami Ranga. They have worked on a very tight schedule and the shoot is still 7–10 days left along with the other work which need to be done.
As said above, there is a heavier competition for Sankranthi releases. So, as the movie came out well, the Producer feels that limiting to 200 screens and 20Cr share is not a good idea. The movie has the potential to work huge at the box office and if they can come on another solo date they can get maximum theaters so he feels that there is no need to rush the film’s release.
This Difference of opinion between Nagarjuna and the Producer is making the announcement of Naa Saami Ranga’s release date getting delayed. According to the reports, by today or tomorrow the team is expected to take the final decision but as of now more chances are there for the film to be postponed but if Nagarjuna convinces producer, the movie may hit the screens on Sankranthi.
