This week saw three releases in form of Writer Padmabhushan, Butta Bomma and Michael. While Writer Padmabhushan is winning hearts all over and is on its way to be a blockbuster, the other two films didn’t have the same fate.
Michael starring Sundeep Kishan and Vijay Sethupathy and Butta Bomma starring Ajun Das, Anikha and Surya Vashista have had a terrible time at the box office and are washouts.
Michael released with very good expectations because of the good star cast and trailer but the film was completely washed out because talk is disastrous and the same goes for Butta Bomma; it’s also a washout film. Both films are huge disasters at the box office.
Sundeep Kishan was seen alongside the likes of Vijay Sethupathi and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in Michael which was released in Telugu and Tamil and was also dubbed in Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam.
Butta Bomma, on the other hand, is a remake of the Malayalam hit Kappela which was released in 2020. The film follows a phone call romance between an auto driver and a village girl who have never met each other.
