There is no denying that Rajamouli is the biggest director in Indian cinema right now. His rise to fame was the Baahubali franchise which created wonders at the box office. Baahubali 2 became the highest-grossing Indian film of all time as well.
After Baahubali, Rajamouli’s next movie RRR has also created massive waves in India and all over the world but Rajamouli seems unsatisfied. Although RRR is a great success, it has failed to create the same waves that Baahubali made. In fact, it has not even come close to Baahubali.
After this, Rajamouli and the team of RRR did their best to push RRR further through publicity campaigns and some paid partnerships. Rajamouli also stated in multiple interviews that Baahubali did not get as much appreciation as RRR. He said that RRR received more international attention than Baahubali and that RRR went to the next level.
Rajamouli also put his best efforts to get RRR nominated for the Oscars but it did not work out. They are still further looking for more options to send RRR to the Oscars and there is a very high chance of an Oscar win from India. Rajamouli seems keen to push RRR as the bigger movie but people still think that Baahubali was the bigger spectacle.
