Surender Reddy’s next project with Akhil Akkineni Agent has been in the works for a long time now. The film has been subject o many hurdles, including shooting delays due to COVID-19. There have also been continuous differences between director Surender Reddy and Agent producers.
More recently, the producers have been pestering Surender Reddy for each scene in the film. For every schedule, they are asking for changes and taking input from different people. They have also been taking inputs from Nagarjuna and asking Surender Reddy to change it accordingly.
The producers are forcing the director to make changes in Agent each time, which has upset Surender Reddy. He has expressed to the producers that he does not want any interference with the script work and shooting of the film. He as politely requested them to leave these aspects to him. Surender Reddy further added that he is putting his life into cinema. We will have to wait and watch what the makers will do after this.
Surender Reddy has given some of the biggest blockbusters in the past and is one of the most underrated commercial directors. He is responsible for movies like Race Gurram and Kick which are talked about to this day. We are hoping that he delivers a solid film with Agent as well. The film is expected to release during the Summer of 2023.
Agent also stars Malayalam legend Mammooty, Sakshi Vaidya, and a few others. Vakkantham Vamsi who has written Surender Reddy’s previous movies has also written Agent.
