September 20 this year is an extremely special one for the Akkineni family. Not just the Akkineni family but entire Telugu film fraternity is celebrating the 100th birth anniversary of legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao. The celebrations kickstarted by unveiling his Panchaloha statue in Annapurna Studios, Hyderabad. Mahesh Babu, Ram Charan, former Vice President of India M Venkaiah Naidu attended the event in the city.
Venkaiah Naidu unveiled the statue of Akkineni Nageswara Rao with stars like Nani, Brahmanandam, Jagapathi Babu, Jayasudha, Mohan Babu and other big stars graced the event. Akkineni Nageswara Rao, popularly known as ANR, was one of the legendary figures of Tollywood who took the Telugu film industry to great heights. He continues to be celebrated through his timeless classics.
The entire Akkineni family, including Nagarjuna, Amala, Naga Chiatanya, Akhil, and Sumanth were present at the venue.
