Vijay’s Leo Posters being criticized for resembling Hollywood Film Posters

Leo, the upcoming action thriller directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and starring Thalapathy Vijay, is one of the most anticipated films of the year for the South Indian Cinema fans. There has been a lot of buzz surrounding the film. Recently, the film’s new posters were out in multiple languages. After the posters got posted by the makers online, movie fans noticed similarities between the upcoming Hollywood films like Liam Neeson’s Cold Pursuit (2019) and Aayudham. Netizens are dissatisfied with the exact similarity of Leo’s posters with Hollywood movies, and the makers of Leo are being criticized by the netizens.

According to the reports, the director Lokesh is directing the film, Leo based on David Cronenberg’s cult classic gangster movie ‘A History of Violence’. This film, which was released in 2005, impressed the audience tremendously. However, the Telugu audience has already seen this film. Gaayam 2 was a scene-to-scene remake of this movie in Telugu that was released in 2010 with Jagapathi Babu in the lead role. The film was a failure at the box office. As said above, Leo is surrounded by massive hype but because of the film’s posters resembling Hollywood Film Posters it is facing criticism.

Leo will face noted Telugu films upon its release on Dasara in the form of Balakrishna’s Bhagavanth Kesari and Raviteja’s Tiger Nageswara Rao. But still, the film is having a superb craze in the Telugu film audiences.

Leo is an action thriller written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film stars Thalapathy Vijay, Sanjay Dutt and Trisha in the main roles. This film has surrounded by a massive craze in both Telugu and Tamil languages and will be released in theaters on October 19, coinciding with the Ayudha Pooja weekend. Gautam Vasudev Menon, Arjun, Mysskin, Mansoor Ali Khan and Priya Anand are part of the supporting cast. The film, produced by Lalit Kumar and Jagadish Palanisamy, has music scored by Anirudh Ravichander.
