Dunki is a Jackpot film for Shah Rukh Khan and Raj Kumar Hirani. It is widely known that Bollywood Badshah, King Khan Shah Rukh Khan, is coming up with an emotional entertainer, Dunki, directed by Rajkumar Hirani. The film is four weeks away from its theatrical release, and Dunki is already a jackpot film for Shah Rukh Khan and Raj Kumar Hirani.
Raj Kumar Hirani’s films will always be made with a low budget because there will be no significant action episodes, lavish songs, or big sets in his movies. He deals the story with natural emotions and entertainment. So, like all his previous movies, Dunki is also said to be made on a budget of just 100Cr, excluding Raj Kumar Hirani and Shah Rukh Khan’s remunerations.
Making the film with 100Cr is an extraordinary achievement by giving all other cast and crew remunerations and completing the entire film within the planned period. The film’s non-theatrical business has reportedly closed around 250Cr, so the non-theatrical business covered the budget for 100Cr with around 150Cr remaining. Dunki’s release date was confirmed recently.
If Raj Kumar Hirani delivers solid content like his previous films, then Shah Rukh Khan will again put the movie in the 1000Cr Club, and then theatrically, the film can have over 400Cr share. The film has the potential to do a 600Cr range share for the producer [Including all] as 100Cr goes for budget, and the remaining money will go to Shah Rukh Khan and Raj Kumar Hirani as they are producers of this film.
Meanwhile, Dunki Drop 2 has been unveiled by the film’s makers with just a month to go until its release in theaters. On Wednesday, they released the first song from the film, Lutt Putt Gaya. It features Taapsee Pannu’s Manu and Shah Rukh Khan’s Hardy. The song’s lyrics are interesting, but the dance steps are even more so.
