Vishwak Sen’s directorial Das Ka Dhamki which stars himself and Nivetha Pethuraj in the lead roles, has released yesterday. The trade circles expected the film to take festive advantage on day 1 and if it manages a good talk, then it can certainly give career-best numbers for the actor/director.
The movie opened with big numbers at the box office with the advantage of holiday, also it opened well in USA Tuesday premiers too. In the USA, Das ka Dhamki opened with 80K US Dollars on the premiers, which is a terrific start for a small film.
In the Telugu states the film started on an excellent note in the Noon shows the remaining shows of Matinées, 1st shows were also house fulls at many centers and the Night shows too showed good numbers. Overall, the film registered career biggest openings for Vishwak Sen.
The film’s theatrical business was closed at 8 Crores worldwide, and the entire unit had been busy with back-to-back promotional activities before the release. Das Ka Dhamki featured Vishwak Sen in a dual role for the first time, and the songs of this film had attracted youth well.
Prasanna Kumar Bezawada has written Das Ka Dhamki’s story, while Vishwak himself directed the film along with providing the screenplay, dialogues. Leon James composed the music of the film. We will have to wait and see if the film gets to hold the good start at the box office on the weekend or not.
