The business revision of the Tollywood biggies has become a sort of trend now. Pre-Covid business standards are unfortunately no longer working out hence almost all the major movies of late have had to undergo this process in Andhra Pradesh. For example, Akhanda, whose before Covid pre-release business amounted to Rs 47 crores in AP, had to restructure it to Rs 35 crores.
Similarly, this is on with Pushpa, which had an Andhra Pradesh pre-release business of Rs 75 crores including Ceded. This deal happened before Covid and now the AP distributors are asking for a price of Rs 55 crores.
Now the question remains if the same is going to happen with Tollywood big projects RRR and Radhe Shyam. All areas business of RRR and Radhe Shyam has been closed long back. And it needs to be seen if what happened for Akhanda and Pushpa for AP is repeated here as well.
