Telugu Film Industry will have many Tier 2 films released this summer, of which three noted films have completed the theatrical business. Mass Maharaja Raviteja’s Ravanasura, of which teaser was released yesterday, has completed its theatrical business. Moreover, Akhil Akkineni’s Agent and Sai Dharam Tej’s Virupaksha have also done with the business deals.
Both Virupaksha and Raavanasura have done the same range business in Andhra Region [6 Territories], which will be at 10 Crores. The Total amount of Telugu state’s business will be around 20 Crores. Overall, worldwide business of the both films will be between 22 – 24 Crores.
Akhil Akkineni’s Agent has done 17 Crores business in Andhra [6 Territories] and the Telugu states total will be at 34 Crores, the Worldwide total will be between 40 – 42 Crores. The film is directed by Surender Reddy and produced by AK Entertainments and Surender 2 Cinema.
All the three films are very distinct from each other, with Virupaksha being a thriller made in rural backdrop and Agent is an action entertainer with high adrenaline pumping fight sequences. Raviteja’s Ravanasura is a unique film where he appears to play a supposedly negative/anti-hero character.
Featuring Sai Dharam Tej and Samyuktha Menon in the lead roles, Virupaksha is helmed by Karthik Dandu, produced by BVSN Prasad and written by Pushpa: The Rise director Sukumar.
Ravanasura has Raviteja in the titular role and the film also stars Sushant, Anu Emanuel, Megha Akash, Daksha Nagarkar, Faria Abdullah and Poojitha Ponnada. Sudheer Varma is directing this project, while Ravi Teja’s RT Team works and Abhishek Nama are bankrolling the film. Harshavardhan Rameswar and Bheems Ceciroleo are composing music for this action thriller, while Vijay Kartik Kannan handles the cinematography.
