It has become a common trend in recent times where many films are going into shooting without a full-bound script. This was the norm back in the day, but it is puzzling why this trend has continued for so long.
There have been many instances where films have flopped tremendously just due to the lack of a bound script. Just take the recently released Akhil Akkineni starrer Agent for example. The film was promoted as a spy thriller and that was probably the plot line as well.
But once the film was released, people wondered where the spy elements were. Even the producer of Agent, Anil Sunkara made some comments regarding the same. He said, “We started shooting without a bound script and this is completely our fault.” He went on to add more about the challenges faced for Agent, you can check that here.
Now, for Mahesh Babu and Trivikram’s SMMB 28, the same mistakes are being repeated. They have initially chosen an action-oriented film but due to some reasons, the genre has been changed. The team went into shooting for the first half because there was already a lot of delay in the shoot. It has been several days but the second half of the film has still not been completed.
But one thing is that Trivikram has always done this with a lot of his films and delivered blockbusters as well. So, it is to be seen how SSMB 28 turns out.
