Yash’s Toxic Theatrical Run Nears Its End

Yash’s highly anticipated pan-India film Toxic is concluding its theatrical run after 10 days at the box office, marking one of the biggest disappointments in Indian cinema this year. Despite crossing the ₹300 Cr mark worldwide, the film has failed to meet expectations and is headed for a significant loss.

Toxic 10 Days Box Office Collection Breakdown

The box office numbers paint a grim picture for the ambitious project:

TerritoryGross Collection
All-India Tracked₹270 Cr
All-India Actuals₹275 Cr (approx)
Overseas₹42 Cr (approx)
Worldwide Total (10 Days)₹317 Cr

This weekend is likely to mark the end of Toxic’s theatrical run. Even though the film has crossed the ₹300 Cr gross milestone, it remains a major commercial failure.

Why Toxic Is a Box Office Disaster

The film needed to collect over ₹800 Cr gross to break even and be called a hit—making the current ₹317 Cr collection fall drastically short of the target. The gap between expectation and reality highlights the scale of this box office debacle.

Most surprisingly, Toxic failed to cross ₹100 Cr gross in Karnataka, Yash’s homeland where he commands a massive fan following after the KGF franchise. This underperformance in the core market has shocked trade analysts and fans alike.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic was positioned as Yash’s most ambitious project post the KGF series. The film’s rapid exit from theaters marks a stark contrast to his previous blockbuster successes.

Similar to how Karuppu wrapped up its theatrical run around the ₹305 Cr mark, Toxic is now heading for closure with limited prospects of recovery.
