The makers of Radhe Shyam have time and again made it clear that they will go only for a theatrical release. Despite RRR postponement, UV Creations have stated that the film will hit the screens only on January 14th.
The team of RRR has had to postpone their release date due to the rising Covid cases and 50% occupancy restrictions in major states. Shot on a whopping budget of over 350 crores, the film would find it impossible to recover its money back, especially in Andhra Pradesh.
Radhe Shyam on the other hand has received multiple OTT offers but hasn’t zeroed on any decision yet. Amidst these offers, reports are coming out that while Radhe Shyam will hit the screens as decided, it will also release on OTT towards January end i.e 2 weeks after theatrical release.
In the ongoing circumstances, it seems a viable option as the makers will be able to recover a great amount if an early OTT release happens.
Radhe Shyam stars Prabhas, Pooja Hegde, Bhagyashree, Priyadarsi, Murali Sharma among others. Radha Krishna Kumar is the director of the film. Justin Prabhakaran is the music director of the movie.
