The Oscars’ 95th edition was abuzz with Naatu Naatu fever and many expected Jr NTR and Ram Charan to perform the song on the world’s biggest stage. There were many reports which suggested that the duo’s live performance is pretty much on and that the organizers had made sure of it. While Naatu Naatu was performed on stage, it was singers Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava along with a team of dancers who did so and not Tarak and Charan.
The real reason behind Charan and Tarak not performing Naatu Naatu was the lack of time for rehearsals owing to their other prior commitment. The duo didn’t feel comfortable with performing due to various reasons and hence the most anticipated performance was called off. Jr NTR and Ram Charan had confirmed that they would be attending the awards but only as audience members.
The song from RRR took the world by storm and won both Golden Globes, Oscars, and more importantly, the love of billions the world over. Keeravani and Chandrabose were awarded the biggest musical honour and even Tarak, Charan, and Prem Rakshit along with Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava have received accolades all over.
