It’s raining re-releases at the Tollywood box office. After Mahesh Babu, Chiranjeevi, and Pawan Kalyan, it’s Nandamuri Balakrishna’s turn to give vintage mass stuff to his fans. Balakrishna’s all-time blockbuster Samarasimha Reddy is being readied for a re-release soon. The process of converting it into 4K is on at the moment.
Samarasimha Reddy is one of the most iconic movies of Balakrishna and is loved not just by his fans but by movie lovers in general. The iconic action scenes, chartbuster songs, and mass elevations are all reminisced by fans even today. The movie released in Sankranti 1999 and played a massive role in establishing Balayya as the ultimate mass icon.
Samarasimha Reddy starred Anjala Zaveri and Simran in lead roles and B Gopal directed this cult blockbuster. V Vijayendra Prasad penned the story while Mani Sharma composed the tunes for this mass entertainer.
The film will be re-released by the end of this year or early 2023. Meanwhile, Balakrishna is currently busy with his next film NBK107 with Gopichand Malineni. The film’s shoot is happening on an overseas schedule and it will star Shruti Haasan in the lead role.
