Thalapathy 67 producers are in table profits with just non theatrical business

Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj’s upcoming project Thalapathy 67 has created great excitement among movie lovers and trade circles. The successful combination will be reuniting after ‘Master’ and the movie features a pretty interesting star cast that has already made great noise ever since it was announced.

The film will star Sanjay Dutt in a negative role while Trisha will be seen alongside Vijay after 14 years. Thalapathy 67 also stars Arjun Sarja, Mansoor Ali Khan, Priya Anand, Mysskin, and Gautham Vasudev Menon in pivotal roles.

Vijay and Lokesh’s brand is doing the magic for the film. All non-theatrical business is sold at record prices. The budget is said to be 250Cr+ and it has already been recovered from non-theatrical rights itself. Music rights have been sold for 16Cr while digital rights have fetched the makers a cool 150Cr. The satellite rights have been sold at 80Cr and Hindi dubbing rights also fetched a big amount.

The producers have achieved breakeven with just non-theatrical rights. Both Lokesh and Vijay are said to be taking the remuneration and also partnership in profits. The advantage with Lokesh is that he makes films on a reasonable budget and in a very quick time. For All his movies like Vikram, Master, Maanagaram and Kaithi, the producer got heavy returns.
