Telugu audience comparing Avatar2 with Narappa

James Cameron’s Avatar 2 has been released this Friday, and the film is getting an overwhelming feedback from the audience, and also it is getting superb collections at the box office.

Especially in India, Avatar: The Way Of Water has been picking up fantastic response and Telugu states are contributing tremendously to the film’s box office collections.

The audience have widely appreciated director James Cameron for his vision, imagination and extracting the out of world kind visual effects.

But there are some sections of audience who have complained that the story is too simple for a project which is set on such a large scale, about its below-par storyline.

On social media, some people say that Avatar 2’s storyline is very much similar to Venkatesh’s Narappa which is a remake of Tamil film Asuran in which Dhanush acted in the lead role.

If we observe the story lines of both, the films are about a father shifting to a new place (village) to protect his family, which is in danger. In Narappa, they kill a son in an enemy attack. And at the climax of the film, the hero fights the enemies to save the rest of the family.

Avatar 2’s screenplay is also similar, according to a few netizens. But we can say it is just an over enthusiasm and unnecessary comparison from the audience and nothing else.

Because Avatar 2’ film was already written in 2009 after the release of the first part. So, there is no chance that James Cameron would have got inspired by Vetrimaaran’s film, which was released in 2019.

It would be a laughable thing if someone says that the story of Avatar 2 and Narappa is the same. If we keep drawing the similarities, then every film will look similar to some film.

These days, it has become a common practice for the netizens to compare the scenes and songs of two films out of nowhere and calling it as a copy.
