OTT is the biggest competition for Cinema and killing the repeat audience says Balakrishna

Balakrishna is busy in shooting of his next movie Veera Simha Reddy which is being prepared to release on the occasion of Sankranthi 2023. The film has already got two songs released and now in is in the final stage of shooting.

Meanwhile, Balakrishna has spoken about the OTT and its effects on the theaters. According to Balakrishna OTT is the biggest competition for Cinema, and it is killing the repeat audience for the theaters.

Balakrishna stated that today there’s a doubt in everybody that how many people will show up and watch films in theaters. As the OTT has become a competition for Cinema, we should make good movies, he added.

He also stated that the ticket rates should be affordable for the audience. Audience will definitely come to the theaters as the enjoyment in the theaters is different, said Balakrishna.

Now the Telugu Cinema has rose into the Pan India level, so we all should get inspired by the same, the mass hero suggested.

On Wednesday, the Asian Tarakarama complex re-opening was a grand affair, with Nandamuri Balakrishna and a few other guests gracing the occasion.

Balakrishna who recalled his fond memories with the theater made some interesting remarks about industry and producers.

Balakrishna told, “Tarakarama is a historical theatre. We all know whatever my father NTR does will become history. He was a visionary. Tarakarama theater is like a temple for us. After re-renovation, the theater is starting again. My son Mokshagna Taraka Rama Teja’s naming ceremony took place here.
