Sree Vishnu has gained great recognition in recent times for these unique choices and for encouraging new-age directors with creative concepts. With Swag, he has once again teamed up with young director Hasith Goli who earlier impressed the audience with Mental Madhilo and Raja Raja Chora. Both these films uniquely presented Sree Vishnu and the duo are now looking to score a hat-trick. Let’s find out of the duo succeeds.
Story:
Bhavabhuti (Sree Vishnu), an ex-cop, receives a letter one day informing him that he is the rightful heir to the Swaganika dynasty and stands to inherit its ancestral fortune. Overjoyed, he heads to the royal family estate, only to discover that three other family members are also laying claim to the inheritance. The plot thickens when two of these claimants turn out to be lookalikes. Who is the true heir, and what is the real story behind this inheritance? This is what the movie follows.
Performances:
Sree Vishnu has given a performance of a lifetime. He has showcased his complete acting range with a variety of getups, mannerisms and dialogue delivery. Playing four characters with unique body language is truly commendable. Ritu Verma has great screen time and is impressive in the film. However, the complex plot and screenplay takes away from what could have been a great performance. This is the first time the actress is playing a dual role and does a good job in both characters as a royal and a new-age woman. Meera Jasmine, Sunil, and others are decent.
Movie Analysis:
Swag is an intriguing concept and might be too complex for many. This multi genre film is a brave attempt for sure but a complicated first half might fail to create interest amongst the audience. The second half, however, improves, offering more clarity about the film’s main storyline. With multiple characters and some of the finest actors, the film has a lot of entertainment to offer. However, the entertainment quotient falls short of expectations, causing the film to feel drawn out.

Verdict:
