DJ Tillu has been the surprise success story of the year so far. A small film that was shot with a nominal budget, this comedy entertainer created a storm at the box office and gave Telugu cinema a much-needed hit after a string of failures in the early part of 2022.
Sidhu Jonnelagadda’s characterization and performance were the highlights of this film making it a blockbuster. The sequel started with excellent buzz as it had the same cast and crew in its initial days. Due to some creative differences director, Vimal Krishna opted out of this project some time back.
After director Vimal Krishna, lead actress Sree Leela also walked out of the project leaving the producers and Sidhu Jonnelagadda in a state of disarray. However, they seem to have found a replacement for Sree Leela.
Anupama Parameswaran has been roped in for this much-awaited sequel. The actress is fresh off the success of her last film Karthikeya 2. The makers are hoping DJ Tillu sequel also works wonderfully like the Nikhil starter.
