Boyapati Srinu is fresh out of career-best grosser Akhanda. The action entertainer featuring Balakrishna broke a number of records and stood as the director-actor duo’s highest grosser till date. The film performed brilliantly in domestic as well as overseas markets. Along with that, Akhanda also received great appreciation after making its OTT premiere.
Despite delivering such a monumental success, it is being reported that star heroes are not keen to work with the ace action director at the moment. Reportedly, Boyapati Srinu did get a call from Allu Arjun after Akhanda’s smashing opening at the box office. The Icon Star even expressed a desire to collaborate once again after the duo’s 2016 hit Sarrainodu.
However, this all changed after the pan-India success of Pushpa. Allu Arjun is right now only keen on working on pan-Indian directors and subjects.
Even other stars for some reason are not highly keen on doing action-filled movies with Boyapati at the moment. This is the reason he has chosen to work with young hero Ram instead. Incidentally, Ram is in a phase in his career where he is specifically looking for commercial action entertainers. With Boyapat being a specialist of this genre, the combination worked out seamlessly.
