It’s official. Prabhas and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit has a new release date. The film will hit theatres on October 29, 2027, for Diwali.
The makers announced the date with a striking new poster of Prabhas, and fans have been celebrating ever since.
Spirit Release Date
- Release: October 29, 2027 (Diwali)
- Languages: Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi, Kannada, Chinese, Japanese, Korean
The New Look Poster
The poster shows Prabhas in a black cap and dark glasses, with a thick salt-and-pepper beard. It’s a raw, intense look, very different from anything fans have seen of him so far.
Look closely and you’ll spot two silver stars on his collar. Spirit is said to feature Prabhas as a police officer, and the stars on the poster add to that buzz.
Going Global With Chinese, Japanese and Korean
The biggest surprise on the poster is the list of languages. Along with the five Indian languages, Spirit will also release in Chinese, Japanese and Korean.
Prabhas already has a strong fan base in Japan, thanks to films like Baahubali and Salaar. Releasing Spirit in East Asian languages shows the makers are planning a truly global release from day one.
The Vanga Factor
Sandeep Reddy Vanga is one of the most talked-about directors in India right now. His last film, Animal, with Ranbir Kapoor, was a massive box office hit. Before that, Arjun Reddy and Kabir Singh made him a household name.
Pairing Vanga’s intense, no-holds-barred style with Prabhas’s mass appeal is what makes Spirit one of the most awaited Indian films.
Cast and Crew
Triptii Dimri, who shot to fame with Animal, plays the female lead opposite Prabhas.
Spirit is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Pranay Reddy Vanga, Krishan Kumar and Prabhakar Reddy Vanga under T-Series Films and Bhadrakali Pictures. Harshavardhan Rameshwar, who composed the background score for Animal, is back for the BGM. Raj Thota handles cinematography.
Prabhas’s Busy Lineup
Spirit is one of several big projects lined up for Prabhas. He also has Fauzi and Kalki 2 in the pipeline, which makes the next few years very busy for the star.
With the Diwali 2027 date now locked, fans have a clear date to mark on their calendars.
