Dulquer Salmaan’s Sita Ramam was released in theatres on August 5th and opened to decent opening day collections. Despite the low buzz around the film due to its parallel release with Bimbisara, Sita Ramam kept improving with each passing day.
Sita Ramam proved that if the content in the film is good then the audiences will readily come to the theatres to watch the film. The sparkling chemistry between Dulquer and Mrunal, the gorgeous visuals and Hanu Raghavapudi’s splendid direction helped the film massively.
It has been over 4 weeks since the release and it has still managed to maintain pace at the box office. Sita Ramam has posted 83 crores in gross collections, becoming the highest ever grosser for Dulquer Salmaan, beating Kurup and Mahanati worldwide.
This is a great feat for a film with two non-Telugu actors. Sita Ramam has also given Dulquer a strong market in the Telugu Film Industry now. Sita Ramam was released in Hindi today and we will have to wait and see how the Bollywood audiences perceive the film.
The film also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Sumanth, Tharun Bhascker and a bunch of others. Vyjayanthi movies have produced the film and the music is by Vishal Chandrashekar
