The re-release trend is looking to extend further to some other yesteryear blockbusters. After the stupendous success of Pokiri, Okkadu, Jalsa, and Kushi, now NTR’s action entertainer Simhadri is gearing up for a re-release. The official confirmation of Simhadri re releasing on the occasion of NTR’s birthday on May 20th was given recently.
Now another important announcement from the fans of NTR has come up regarding the re-release of Simhadri. A press note from the All India NTR fans has been released which states that the entire collections from Simhadri re-release will be used for the welfare of fans.
In the press note it was informed that the fans of NTR have bought the film for a fancy rate from a third party, with an intention of using the entire money collected for the welfare of NTR fans district wise who are in trouble and in needy position. They also stated that this information was given to NTR, who happily agreed to it because of the noble intention of the fans.
Simhadri, like other recent re-releases, will hit the screens in 4K and fans have placed high expectations on the success of this event. Simhadri’s re-release is planned in a massive way and NTR fans are expecting to break Kushi’s re-release day 1 record as NTR films have traditionally had a strong record when it comes to special screenings.
Released in 2003 and directed by SS Rajamouli, Simhadri went on to become a massive blockbuster and established NTR as one of the top stars in Tollywood. Keeravani’s chart buster music, Rajamouli’s pacy and intense narration, and NTR’s roaring performance have made this film a classic in the action genre in Tollywood.
This was the second film by SS Rajamouli and also his second film with NTR. The film was written by V Vijayendra Prasad, who wrote Baahubali and RRR as well. Besides NTR, it also features Bhumika Chawla, Ankitha, Mukesh Rishi and Rahul Dev.
