Kantara was released in theatres on 30th September and has been dominating the box office ever since. The excellent word of mouth from the audiences ensured that the film reached greater heights every day and grows stronger every day.
Owing to the great demand for the film to be released in other languages as well, the film was dubbed and released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi. The film has performed exceptionally well in all languages, mainly in Telugu and Hindi.
To give some context, Kantara has had a dream run in Nizam. The movie has collected around 20 crores till now which is higher than Megastar Chiranjeevi’s recent film Godfather. This is an incredible feat for a dubbed film to post such numbers against a Chiranjeevi movie that also featured Salman Khan in it.
Kantara is still running successfully in many theatres all over the world and in Nizam. It is expected to cross the 30 crores gross mark in its full run. The global collection is expected to be 300 crores in its worldwide run, making it the most successful Kannada film after KGF: Part 2. This means that Hombale Films holds the position of the Top 3 successful films in KFI.
