Shahrukh Khan’s Pathaan is creating one record after another at the box office. The action thriller has already achieved the highest day 1 collections ever in the history of Indian cinema and is on its way to break the lifetime collections of many pan-India biggies in the coming days.
Shahrukh Khan, who has made a remarkable return with this blockbuster has brought back people to the theatres and has ended the dull phase of Bollywood. Speaking on Pathaan’s success, the Bollywood Badshah was all praise for his co-stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham and extended his love to his fans and movie lovers who made the movie such a smashing hit.
Responding to a question on the Boycott movement that was targeted towards Pathaan, King Khan had a rather eloquent take, and his answer floored many.
“We love each other, we joke with each other. We have fun with each other. Fun, and entertainment should be left at that. Don’t take it more seriously. We all are one. All of us are loving each other and trying to make that love spread just to tell you in a very simple manner… this is Deepika Padukone, she’s Amar. I’m Shah Rukh Khan hoon, I’m Akbar and this is John, he’s Anthony. And this is what makes cinema,” said SRK referring to the classic Bollywood blockbuster Amar Akbar Anthony where the protagonists represented three religions and were brothers.
“There are no differences that any of us have for anybody, any culture, any aspect of life. We love you, that’s why we make films,” SRK concluded.
