Pathaan is continuing its golden run at the box office and has achieved another massive milestone. The film has now become only the fifth Indian film to gross 1000 crores and 2nd Bollywood film to do so. By achieving this feat, Pathaan has joined the elite list of other Indian blockbusters such as Dangal, Baahubali2, KGF2 and RRR.
Directed by Siddharth Anand, the action thriller, had a sensational opening day and set an all-time day 1 collection and weekend collections record. Pathaan took full advantage of Republica Day weekend and even the Shivratri weekend to achieve several milestones.
It’s not that the film performed well only on holidays. It had an equally impressive run on weekdays as well and has been registering housefuls in some areas on working days as well. Several Bollywood releases like Kartika Aryan’s Shehzada have postponed their releases looking at Pathaan’s phenomenal run at the box office. With Shehzada now failing to impress the audience, there is a huge advantage with Pathaan now and it will only capitalize on it.
Pathaan is a part of YRF Spy Universe which includes the Tiger franchise featuring Salman Khan and War franchise with Hrithik Roshan. This action thriller also had added starpower in the form of Deepika Padukone and John Abraham.
