It is very well known to everyone that Samantha’s high-budget film Shaakuntalam is slated to release on April 14th. Heroine Samantha, director Guna Sekhar and the film’s unit are trying their best to get the best possible craze around their film, but their promotional content has let them down.
Which is why the makers had piled up their hopes on the 3D version and expected it to turn out as a huge plus point for the movie. Because of the decision to make in 3D, the budget of the movie has been increased, and it got postponed multiple times according to the reports.
However, Shaakuntalam team was very confident on the output of their film and with the same confidence, they have screened a premier of the 3D version on Monday night in Prasad’s Multiplex Hyderabad. The unit thought that the film will receive positive talk which will help the movie, but surprisingly, the movie has received a mixed and below par reports from the premiers which has come as a big shock to the Shaakuntalam’s team.
Made on a massive budget, Shaakuntalam is based on the internationally acclaimed Kalidasa’s Sanskrit play ‘Abhijnana Shaakuntalam’ and is all set to be released in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada languages. The film, which will also release in 3D, is being presented by Dil Raju under Sri Venkateswara Creations together with Gunaa Team works and produced by Neelima Guna.
Gunasekhar directed Samantha’s Shaakuntalam. Dev Mohan plays King Dushyant’s role in this flick, while Allu Arjun’s daughter Allu Arha plays Prince Bharata. Aditi Balan, Prakash Raj, Gauthami, Madhoo, Sachin Khedekar, and Ananya Nagalla will be seen in crucial roles. Mani Sharma composed the tunes for this film.
