RRR’s box office storm at Japan box office has now achieved crossed another massive milestone. The SS Rajamouli magnum opus has crossed ¥500M+ at Japan box office. In Indian currency, this amount is equal to Rs 30 crores. RRR has now become the first Indian film to hit this mark. Released in October, the film is still running to great occupancies and solid collections.
Just last month this Ram Charan and Jr NTR starter became the highest-grossing Indian film in Japan. The film crossed Muthu’s record has been standing for more than 2 decades in the easternmost country. The film crossed Muthu’s collection of 400M in Japanese currency. The record by Muthu stood strong for 2 decades before it was crossed by this SS Rajamouli film.
After Muthu, Baahubali was also received quite well in Japan earning both Prabhas and Rana great adulation from the local fans. And now, RRR has also managed to win the hearts of the Japanese.
The film was widely promoted in the country and Jr NTR, Ram Charan, and SS Rajamouli were present during the Japanese premieres and attended several events. RRR collected over 1200 crores at the worldwide box office in its initial run during ints release in March and now the film is continuing where it stopped its record-breaking journey.
