Nani and Vivek Athreya combo is back with what appears to be an out-of-the-box concept. Titled Saripodhaa Sanivaaram, the makers released a title glimpse along with a poster in which Nani is bound by chains and giving an intense expression. The ‘Unchained’ video announcement takes us into the world of Vivek Athreya and Nani where Nani is chained and breaks the shackles with a special relation between him and ‘Saturday’ being revealed.
Saripodhaa Sanivaaram marks the return of the actor-director combo. Nani had earlier collaborated with Vivek Athreya for the romantic drama Ante Sundaraniki which received a mixed verdict at the box office. Some sections of the audience liked the film, but most people felt the movie was not engaging enough, which affected early talk and box-office performance.
With Saripodhaa Sanivaaram, Nani and Vivek Athreya are seeking to score a box-office hit which they failed to do earlier with Ante Sundaraniki. However, the title glimpse has also evoked a mixed response. The announcement video and the poster are not intriguing enough for the audience and the title also not being so catchy. Surely, the movie is based on a unique concept, but, that has not been successfully conveyed to the audience.
