Karthi’s Sardar has been one of the biggest hits from Kollywood this year. The film continued his success streak at the box office after Viruman and blockbuster Ponniyin Selvan.
Directed by PS Mithran, the film collected 100 crore+ gross, and Karthi’s performance as an ex-RAW agent was loved by all. His dual role in the film impressed all and made stunning box-office numbers worldwide. The film also stars Rashi Khanna in the lead while Laila, Rajisha Vijayan, and Chunkey Pandey were seen in key roles.
The film was released on October 21st worldwide. It featured Karthi playing two characters, with one of them being the role of a spy. It is wrapped in a socially relevant message about the significance of water.
Interestingly, the makers of Sardar along with Karthi decided to gif a silver water bottle to the cast and crew of the film. The bottles are worth Rs 30,000/- and this unique gift has caught everyone’s attention.
Karthi will be next seen in action entertainer Japan along with Ponniyin Selvan 2. After this, he will make a comeback as Dilli in the much-awaited sequel project Kaithi 2. Even a sequel to Sardar has been announced and where the Tamil star will make a comeback as Inspector Chandrabose.
