Kantara’s digital rights are owned by Netflix, which has surprised the audience by revealing that the film’s English-dubbed version will be out on the streaming platform by the end of January 2023.
In a new promo issued by the OTT giant Netflix, Rishabh Shetty finally revealed the answer to when ‘Kantara’ will be released in Hindi and English. The film, also starring Sapthami Gowda and Kishore Kumar G, will be released in Hindi and English this weekend on Netflix.
“I am absolutely thrilled that Kantara (Hindi) is coming on Netflix! It is great to see our story reach global audiences across over 190 countries. The film showcases a never-seen-before culture and Shiva’s fight for his nature and village, making Netflix the perfect service to showcase a story as diverse as Kantara,” Rishab Shetty was quoted as saying in an official statement.
Now with the Netflix releasing the Kantara’s English version to reach the global audience, things will get interesting. We know how Netflix has participated a crucial role in RRR getting international reach. We have to see whether the same magic will work for Kantara or not.
Kantara was directed and acted by Rishab Shetty. Sapthami Gowda was the female lead in the film. Kishore, Achyuth Kumar played important roles while Ajaneesh Loknath has provided music for the film.
