Sankranti’s 2023 saw the clash of Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna with Waltair Veerayya and Veera Simha Reddy releasing for the festive season. Both the films were bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers and apart from competing among themselves also clashed with Vijay’s Varisu/Varasudu and Ajith’s Thunivu/Thegimpu.
Both films are nearing the end of their box-office run. Veera Simha Reddy is already running with negligible shares for the past few days and now after the last weekend, Waltair Veerayya is also running with negligible shares. This weekend will be the final run of these movies at most of the places.
Both films are the career best for Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna. Waltair Verayya is the career-best share and grosser For Chiranjeevi (Only Telugu version). For multiple languages, Syeraa is still the highest for Megastar. Veera Simha Reddy collected the maximum share for Balakrishna and gross-wise, Akhanda is the biggest one for Balayya.
