Vijay Deverakonda’s Ranabaali has wrapped up its first week with around ₹63.5 Cr gross worldwide. Considering the low buzz and mixed talk it started with, that’s a pretty good week for the film.
Ranabaali First Week Estimates (Gross)
- Telugu States: ₹45.5 Cr+
- Rest of India: ₹6.5 Cr
- All India: ₹52 Cr
- Overseas: ₹11.25 Cr
- Worldwide: ₹63.5 Cr (approx)
A Good Week Against the Odds
Ranabaali came in with almost everything against it. The buzz was low, promotions didn’t click, and the film opened to mixed talk. On top of that, it clashed with Jailer 2, which has been breaking records everywhere.
Despite all of this, the film has put together a solid first week. Positive word of mouth from mass audiences and the Dasara holidays helped it far more than anyone expected.
Distributors Are in a Good Spot
From the distributors’ break-even point of view, it’s a good first week, especially in the Telugu states, which have delivered ₹45.5 Cr+ in seven days. The film is now close to recovering its domestic investment.
Worldwide, Ranabaali has recovered about 85% of its ₹75 Cr break-even target.
Overseas Is the Big Letdown
The one market that hasn’t worked is overseas. Ranabaali needed around $2.75M gross to break even overseas. In its first week, it has collected only about $1.2M gross
That’s well under half of what the film needed, and it’s the most disappointing part of Ranabaali’s run. The weak start from the overseas premieres never really turned around.
Second Weekend Is Crucial
The film now needs a good second weekend to get into a comfortable position. A strong hold in the Telugu states could take it past the domestic break-even mark and help make up for some of the overseas losses.
