Ram Charan’s career in the Telugu Film Industry has been an interesting one. He has seen early success in the form of blockbusters and also utter disasters. He has been trolled in the past for his acting skills and later also praised for his performances.
But if one movie were to be picked that sparked a change in his script selection/acting style, it is Dhruva. Ram Charan showcased a completely different side to him in Dhruva that won the hearts of many Telugu audiences.
Although the director of Dhruva is Surender Reddy, the director of the original, titled Thani Oruvan is Mohan Raja. During the press meet of Godfather, Producer NV Prasad stated that Ram Charan and Mohan Raja were in discussions regarding Dhruva 2 when they were deciding to hand over the remake of Lucifer to Mohan Raja.
NV Prasad also thanked Ram Charan for giving him the chance to buy the rights to Godfather. “Ram Charan had the option of calling any producer to go buy the rights, but he chose to call us,” he added. In fact, it was Rama Charan that suggested the idea of Chiranjeevi remaking Lucifer.
