Nikhil’s Karthikeya received awards and rewards when released in 2014. The film was a box office hit and the director Chandoo Mondeti was praised for the content and taking. He also won the Filmfare award in the best director category.
After Karthikeya the director worked with Naga Chaitanya for two films. Premam did well but as it was the remake the director didn’t get much credit. Savyasachi didn’t fare well at box office. Nikhil too is looking for a solid hit. So the duo are coming together again with the sequel to Karthikeya.
But now in a big scale. Karthikeya2 is releasing as a pan India film. The movie is made on a very high budget. The sequel has very good craze in audience and the trailer has raised the Expectations. The movie entire theatrical rights are bought by prime shows films for 18Cr. This is record price for Nikhil. If this movie turns out to be a blockbuster then definitely Nikhil’s stardom will increase by miles. Karthikeya2 is scheduled to release on 22nd July.
