Poor 2nd weekend for Tiger3: The struggle continues

Tiger 3 has a poor 2nd weekend, and the struggle continues for the film at the box office. Salman Khan’s latest outing in the YRF Spy Universe has struggled on weekdays with low numbers. The trade expected the film to pick up considerable momentum on the second weekend, but still, it is trending on lower numbers only. On Friday the movie collected 13Cr+ net, and the estimates are at 17Cr net on Saturday. On Sunday, the number is expected to be in the same range or even go below as tomorrow, the ODI World Cup Final will have a bigger impact on the film.  Though the film, Tiger 3 crossed the 300Cr Mark globally, it was a poor 2nd weekend, and the struggle continues at the box office.

The 2nd weekend’s India net of Tiger 3 will be less than 50Cr, which is a very disappointing total, and the film is trending similarly at Overseas as well. The numbers are very low on Friday, and it has collected around just 1 million in Overseas, which is not a big jump, and for Saturday, around 1.5M is expected. Overall, by the second weekend, the worldwide gross of Tiger 3 is likely to be in the range of 385Cr.

Tiger 3, which stars Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, is the latest addition to the Tiger franchise and is included in the YRF Spy Universe alongside War and Pathaan.

The YRF studio has released Tiger 3 as a sequel to Tiger Zinda Hai, which is in the spy universe. Katrina Kaif reprises her role as Zoya in the spy thriller, and Emraan Hashmi is cast as the main villain. Hrithik Roshan, who portrayed Kabir in War, and Shah Rukh Khan from Pathaan are among the actors who appear in the film for brief moments.
