Peddi is set in 1980s Andhra Pradesh and follows a determined villager who fights for his community’s identity through multiple sports — wrestling, cricket, and running.
Buchi Babu Sana directs the film. His creative partnership with Ram Charan has drawn considerable attention in Telugu film circles. Janhvi Kapoor plays the female lead, with Shiva Rajkumar, Divyyendu, and Jagapathi Babu in key supporting roles. The film’s score is composed by A.R. Rahman.
