After creating a massive storm at the pan-India box office, the Kannada blockbuster Kantara is all set for its OTT release. The film will stream from 24th November on Amazon Prime in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam.
The makers earlier requested Amazon Prime Video to postpone the OTT release which should have happened earlier. The resounding success at the box-office and excellent occupancies at theatres all over were the main reason for this request.
Kantara released on 30th September and its dubbed version in Telugu was released a couple of weeks later. After Karnataka, the highest collection for this action thriller came from Telugu states. The success of this movie has once again proved that content is the biggest factor behind any project’s success.
Directed by Rishab Shetty who acted in the lead role as well, this small film has done the unthinkable by getting extraordinary reviews and box-office records both at once. Very few films have achieved both.
