Stree 2 Collections: 20 crore difference

Stree 2 starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao is undoubtedly a huge blockbuster at the box office. The film has grossed more than 64 crores worldwide on the opening day shocking everyone. But the film has two figures about box office performance from trade. The Producers quoted 146 crores Nett in India for 3 days inlcuding premieres whereas other section reported 126 crores for 3 days. There is a 20 crore difference in Stree 2 Collections.

The film is expected to do 400 crore Nett in India at this pace of performance. But the difference in trade feels like the numbers getting exaggerated a bit. This is continuously happening in Bollywood. Earlier these were speculated for Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan and Jawaan films as well in the past.

Stree 2 has definitely revived Bollywood which is reeling under bad phase. Stree 2 looks to beat many film’s record in its full run. The film has already on the way to becoming this year’s highest grosser. No one expected this kind of sensational performance. Holiday Advantage also added up to the sequel craze of Stree 2. The film will also break Prabhas starrer Kalki 2898 AD collections in Hindi version as well.

Bollywood Jealous Of Prabhas!

With no offense to other actors, Prabhas is undoubtedly the biggest star of contemporary Indian cinema in terms of star power and market potential. The Bahubali actors have proved this time and time again multiple times.

His most recent film, Kalki 2898 AD, despite receiving mixed reviews, emerged as a blockbuster. Even in its Hindi-dubbed version, it performed exceedingly well at the ticket window. This is a testament to Darling’s undeniable superstardom.

On multiple accounts, Prabhas’ films have outperformed original Hindi films. It is perhaps because of this that the Bollywood actors and media seem to be envious of him. Most recently, actor Arshad Warsi was seen calling him a ‘Joker’. While the Munna Bhai actor has every right to comment on Kalki 2898 AD, the language he used doesn’t come under ‘constructive criticism’, especially when you’re talking about a superstar like Prabhas.

To encash on the long Independence Day weekend, over a dozen films hit the big screens last Friday. Of them, Puri Jagannadh’s Double Ismart and Ravi Teja’s Mr Bachchan are the big releases in Telugu.

Upon release, they’ve faced a mixed-to-negative reception before eventually bombing at the ticket window. Both these commercial potboilers are huge disasters at the box office. On the other hand, AAY, a small-budgeted romantic comedy film, is posting good numbers day after day.

After posting good numbers in its first three days of theatrical run, AAY outperformed the biggies Double Ismart and Mr. Bachchan. Yes, the film’s 1st Sunday gross is bigger than the other two films combined. The audiences have once again made it clear that it’s the content that matters and not the star power. Starring Narne Nithin in the lead role, AAY is directed by K. Anji Babu.

Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan (Telugu) Business Details!

‘Super Star’ Rajinikanth will be next seen in an investigative thriller called ‘Vettaiyan’. Written and directed by T. J. Gnanawel of Jai Bhim (2021) fame, it also features Rana Daggubati, Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, and Ritika Singh in supporting roles.

Talking about its pre-release business details, Vettaiyan’s Telugu distribution rights have been sold for INR 17 crore. For the film to achieve ‘Hit’ status, it must post a gross of INR 30 crore. It must be noted that Rajini’s previous flick Jailer (2023) was a highly profitable venture in Telugu.

Lyca Productions is bankrolling this project on a big scale, while Anirudh Ravichander has been brought onboard to compose the songs and background score. Vettaiyan is slated for a grand release on 10th October this year, thus clasing with Suriya’s Kanguva.

Revanth Reddy Praises Prabhas!

Prabhas is currently basking in the success of Kalki 2898 AD. Helmed by Nag Ashwin Reddy, this sci-fi epic has posted good numbers across the length and breadth of the country. The ‘Rebel Star’ has also announced a new project with Telugu filmmaker Hanu Ragavapudi.

Tentatively titled ‘Fauji’, this is touted as an epic love story in a world war backdrop. A young beuaty called Iman Ismail has been roped to play Prabhas‘s love interest. Mythri Movie Makers is bankrolling this project on a big scale.

Coming to the point, the honorable chief minister of Telangana, Revanth Reddy, praised the actor in a recent political event held in Hyderabad. Talking about the kind of films Telugu cinema is creating, matching the levels of Hollywood, he called making ‘Bahubali’ impossible without the presence of Prabhas.

Indra 4k Re-Release: Solid Advance Bookings!

Indra (2002) is easily one of the most celebrated films of ‘Mega Star’ Chiranjeevi. Written and directed by B. Gopal, it emerged as the highest-grossing Telugu film of all time, until it was surpassed by Puri Jagannadh’s Pokiri (2006). Numbers aside, the film is noted for its foot-tapping music, Chiru’s powerful dailogues and incredible dance moves.

Talking about the upcoming event, this classic actioner is gearing up for a re-release on 22nd August, on the auspicious eve of Chiru’s birthday. Originally bankrolled by Vyjayanthi Movies, the current release is being handled by Asian Suresh in Telugu states.

The makers have already kicked off aggressive promotions with the film’s official merchandise. The advance bookings have already begun all over the world, and the numbers look impressive. Indra’s music was composed by Mani Sharma; it also features Sonali Bendre and Aarthi Agarwal as the female leads.

‘Chiyyan’ Vikram’s historical drama Thangalaan (2024) is making some significant noise at the box office. Upon receiving mixed-to-positive reviews, this Pa Ranjith-directorial took a good opening with a gross of INR 12 crore (in Tamil Nadu alone).

However, it failed to hold these numbers in its successive two days; still, it managed to post INR 4.5 and 5.5 crore on the second and third days. In its Telugu-dubbed version, it minted a total of INR 5 crore in its three days of theatrical run.

Collecting an estimated $1 million in the overseas markets, Thangalaan posted a worldwide gross of INR 40 crore in three days. These are good numbers considering the word-of-mouth. But to gain the ‘Hit’ status, Thanglaan needs to perform well in its second week too. With music composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar, the film features Malavika Mohanan as the female lead.

Bollywood actor Arshad Warsi has raised a huge storm by making controversial remarks against Prabhas in Kalki 2898 AD. Arshad Warsi termed Prabhas as a ‘Joker’ for his portrayal of Bhairava in the blockbuster.

The words shocked everyone, especially considering Kalki 2898 AD was an epic blockbuster that has collected more than 1000 Cr gross worldwide. It was the biggest grosser of this year, In Hindi markets also it collected more than 400 Cr gross worldwide.

Arshad Warsi said in a recent interview that the last film he watched in theatres was Kalki 2898 AD and he was disappointed with the film. “I expected a film like Mad Max but Prbahas looked like Joker in the film,” he added.

These words have triggered Prabhas fans as well as Telugu cinema fans leading to a war of words on social media between Bollywood and Tollywood fans. Whatever one’s opinion about the movie, whether they liked the film or not, using such words to describe an actor is truly unfortunate and distasteful.

ఆ విధంగా హై బడ్జెట్ తో సినిమాలు చేస్తూ వస్తున్న మాస్ మహారాజా, లోరిటర్న్స్ అందిస్తూ అటు నిర్మాతలకు ఇటు బయ్యర్స్, డిస్ట్రిబ్యూటర్స్ కు ఇబ్బందిగా మారారు. నిజానికి గతంలో మంచి మూవీస్ ఎంపిక చేసుకునే రవితేజ ఇటీవల పేలవమైన కథల ఎంపికతో ఈ విధంగా పరాజయాలు అందుకుంటున్నారని, అందుకే ఇకపైన అయినా కథల ఎంపికలో ఆయన జాగ్రత్త వహించాలని ఫ్యాన్స్ తో పాటు పలువురు ఆడియన్స్ కూడా కోరుతున్నారు.
