Tamil Actor Suriya is currently working for his Kanguva, planned as a Pan India biggie. The film is also made on a high budget and holds great expectations from fans and audiences of Kollywood. Kanguva’s release date was originally planned on October 10th but the clash with Vettaiyan has completely changed its prospects now. The team has also decided to postpone to avoid a clash and this indicates Suriya’s helpless situation.

As said, the makers of Kanguva hoped high but recently Vettaiyan starring Rajinikanth too announced its release date as October 10th confirming the clash. The team of Kanguva got shocked with this decision and backed off from the date. This was greatly trolled and criticised by the people. They wanted Kanguva to go for a clash with Vettiayan instead of pulling back from the planned schedule. But the lead Actor Suriya doesn’t want to risk with this clash.

Suriya scored a big hit long ago and is currently in bad phase. Most of his recent films released on OTT and some others didn’t do well in the theatres. So, he planned everything for Kanguva but it is being disturbed now by Rajinikanth. Suriya recently spoke about this in the audio launch event of Karthi starrer, Meiyazhagan.

He said that they had decided to avoid clash with Rajinikanth terming him as Identity of Tamil Cinema. But this explains his helplessness as he couldn’t clash but postpone his film. This is also not taken well by the netizens who are trolling him badly. The team of Kanguva is yet to announce new release date now.

Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency postponed again

Bollywood Actress, Kangana Ranaut’s current film Emergency witnessed a postponement saga. The film’s release date has been postponed multiple times due to various reasons. Made on real life incidents surrounding former Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi, the film attracted great criticism since Kangana’s outright support to BJP. She even became an MP from the BJP recently. Now, Emergency has been postponed again to her disappointment.

The film was denied certification by the CBFC board for unknown reasons. The film was slated for release on September 6th but the plan now stands changed. The Actress expressed her dissatisfaction about the postponement on her official X/Twitter account. She said that many films filled with violent and nude content were being allowed on OTT and other platforms but her film was denied a chance to release. She also felt that it was hugely demotivating and unjust.

The Censor Board cited issues regarding portrayals of certain people and scenes in the film. Kangana Ranaut was also accused of propagating BJP agenda for a while in her films. Her choice of making a film about Indira Gandhi with Emergency adds more substance to this. It is very unfortunate to see highly acclaimed Actresses or Actors resorting to political agenda films like these. Kangana must atleast understand this for now.

He said that Vijay had watched Prabhas’ Salaar in Hyderabad theatre with no information leaked to the media. A video too surfaced on X/Twitter showing him sitting in the theatre while watching the film. This was indeed a shocking incident that took place.

Vaibhav while participating in an interview said that Vijay had also watched Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki along with Salaar in Hyderabad. Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao starrer horror comedy Stree 2 has been one of the biggest Bollywood blockbusters of the year. The film opened to largely positive reviews on Independence Day weekend and has been achieving one box-office milestone after another.

Stree 2 has now shattered the 3rd weekend record of Baahubali 2 and in the process, also crossed Rs 500 crore share mark with great ease. Baahubali 2 held the 3rd weekend record for 7 years as it collected Rs 42.55 crores on its weekend 3. Stree 2 broke this longstanding record with Rs 48.75 crores over its 3rd weekend.

Directed by Amar Kaushik, Stree 2 has also equaled Shahrukh Khan’s Jawan record of crossing Rs 500 crore mark on the 18th day of its release. This is a phenomenal achievement considering the lack of A-list stars and star directors for this horror-comedy.

The horror comedy has now joined the Rs 500 crore club alongside Jawan, Pathaan, Gadar 2 Animal, and Baahubali 2 (Hindi). This film is a sequel to the 2018 super hit Stree and features Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana in supporting roles. The film also had cameos from Akshay Kumar and Varun Dhawan.

At the Vikatan Awards, Nelson Dilipkumar revealed insights regarding Rajinikanth’s Jailer movie sequel. The renowned filmmaker confirmed their collaboration for Jailer 2. On the occasion, Nelson stated that the film’s script is already complete and that pre-production has begun.

The filmmaker went on to explain that the film’s producers plan to make an official announcement within a month. The film is planned to begin production shortly. Jailer, released in 2023, had Rajinikanth in the major role. Supporting cast members included Ramya Krishnan, Tamannaah Bhatia, Vasanth Ravi, Mirnaa Menon, Yogi Babu, and Sunil.
